1. Get hitched in a tree house!

This is a grand childhood reminder, especially if you had a tree house in your own backyard growing up! Although finding a large enough tree house to hold a few hundred people may prove to be a little difficult, if you have a small party or are having a wedding with just you and your significant other, and a few witnesses, then a tree house is perfect for you! Tree houses are not common in most cities and towns, but if you search thoroughly, you will most likely find one nearby. A small road trip may be in order!

 

2. Get your dance on in an art museum!

A wedding is a symbol for marriage, and the long life and journey the newlywed couple is about to embark on. And while an art museum is full of old objects, it can represent that marriage is timeless and lasts for a very, very long time! Other than small symbolism, museums are beautiful and full of classy architecture. While it does not have to be an art museum, most art museums will allow weddings while on the other hand, a normal kids or science museum may be a tad more hesitant.

This is by far one of the most beautiful and most unique options! Why not get married under a shimmering, blue water world full of life and beauty? You would be surprised as to how popular aquarium weddings are! Although a beautiful venue for a scenery, along with obviously not being your average Plaza wedding venue, aquarium venues are not the cheapest. So for a broke bride, you may want to consider another venue that will not break your bank so much!

 

4. Have your special day at a national park!

Whether it be a park in your local city or a at Glacier National Park (insert “oohs” and “aahs”), an outdoor national park, or nearby nature park of some sort, can create a beautiful and breathtaking wedding scene. If you love nature and everything natural and simple, then having it at an outdoor park is a wonderful option. This is a much cheaper venue option in comparison to others, and will provide you and your guests just the view you need!

 

5. Have your fairy tale wedding in a castle?

Okay, okay. Yes, this is very much a unique wedding venue and very much out of the ordinary! But it is also not really realistic. Unless you have a neighbor who knows a guy who owns a castle, then finding one nearby you may prove to be a little difficult. But if you are determined to get married in a castle, then possibly a destination wedding is in store for you and your future hubby!

 

6. Say “I Do!” in a conservatory!

Lover of everything plant related? Or are you possibly a botanist bride? Either way, getting married in a plant conservatory is a naturally beautiful venue. If you do not want to have the ceremony in the actual conservatory, then maybe look into finding a museum with a conservatory, have the wedding ceremony in the museum, and then the reception in the conservatory! So if you want a venue with lots of plants, consider a conservatory and all their possibilities!

 

7. Get married in a timeless theater!

Are you a performer? Why not get married up on a stage in an old theater? This is a great option that not many couples think about! The seats are of the utmost comfort for the guests, everyone can see the bride and groom, and the big stage leaves plenty of room for decoration! If you are having a Gatsby themed wedding, why not have the have this as a venue for an olden touch? Even if you are not having a Gatsby theme, this is still a great venue for any star-struck couple!
