Make a list of all the things you want to include. Give yourself time to write this letter. It doesn’t have to be written over night…unless you wait until the last second to write it! Jot down anything from big to small that you love about your fiance so you don’t forget to include it.

Style

Write your letter in pieces as you think of things to say. Rome wasn’t built in a day and your masterpiece of a letter won’t be either! Don’t try to be poetic if you’re not. Just be yourself. Add in jokes and show your quirky side, surely your fiance loves you for that reason! If they laugh or smile while reading your letter, your job is done.

Embellish

Most of the time we are verbal with our feelings, “I love the way you love me” or “I love your smile” is great if that is what you love about your soon to be spouse. In your letter, let them know why.  This is a chance to tell them what they mean to you and physically show them, in letter form, why you love them.

Reminisce

You’re going to include in your letter why you love your significant other, but how did you get to that point? Tell them how you came to fall in love. Remind them of your first few dates. Tell them your first thoughts of them and why you wanted to date them.

Length

A few pages? Sure. A novel? No way! Keep your letter short and simple and to the point. Letters that run on may not convey the message you want to convey. They may get lost in translations, not make sense, or even be repetitive. There are endless reasons to love your spouse, so this may be tricky!!

Positive and Encouraging Letter

Being positive and encouraging is easy when you’re writing about love. Encourage them with reasons why you want to be married to them. Find positivity in all situations and convey that in your letter. When they are having a down moment, the incorporation of positivity can make a world of difference.

Personal Touch Letter

Make your letter even more effective with a personal touch. Either writing with your favorite color ink, including a picture of you together or one that you know is their favorite. Even spritzing the paper with your signature scent or kissing the end of your letter with your lipstick will let them know that you’ve put your heart and soul into this letter. Sign it with you “nickname” that they have given you, “With all my love, Kiwi, your wife”. If that doesn’t send chills down their spine, I don’t know what will!

Be original and romantic, encouraging and kind. This letter will be something your fiance can keep forever, it won’t just be a once and done reading; You can even pull that letter out on your worst days and feel as though everything is well with your world. Writing isn’t for everyone, but with these fail-proof tips, you’re bound to write the best letter you’ll ever pen.
