Bride and Groom Chair Decor: You Can’t Forget It!

There are many things that a stressed, wedding planning bride can forget about. It could be super small details, like flowers for the flower girl, how people will send you off (need some ideas? Click here!), or whether or not your bridesmaids wear earrings or not. For a forgetful bride, it could be something major, like where everyone will sit, your first dance music, or what poses to think about for your photography sessions.

One of the small things that I am sure many brides forget about or put on the back burner is the wedding chair signs for the sweet lovers during the reception. While this is not a required thing, it does make for a great photo op and is a nice accent to add to your reception table or sweetheart table.

Are you interested in having his and her chair decor for the post ceremony celebration? Check out some of the ideas below to help spark some inspiration!

This is perfect for a vintage themed wedding. The old picture frames combined with the head shape and outline give these chairs the unique accent they need to give your table that timeless feel.

2. His Forever, Hers forever

For the more poetic bride, these chair signs will do just the trick! You can utilize this sentimental phrase on a more classy chair sign, or keep it Bohemian style like the picture above!

3. I Love Her, I Love Him

Such a simple sentiment. Yet it has so much depth and adornment in it. The amount of times you say “I love you” to your new spouse before the wedding day is over is probably countless. So if you love saying these three words a lot, why not incorporate it onto your chair sign for the reception?

4. Chair Ties

This is a unique idea for someone who has no interest in having the typical signs on their chairs. You can coordinate the colors of your wedding into them, use burlap cloth, or even just use a sheer white cloth instead. This is a simple and elegant way of doing things, if you truly want to mix things up!

5. Blankets

For those having a cozy and warm winter wonderland wedding, this is a wonderful idea! It gives your reception just the warm jazz it needs, all while making it feel casual and homey at the same time! You could hang little signs on the chairs as well like the pictures above, or even have all of the chairs of your guests or bridal party have warm blankets on them as well! Either way, this is a fun and unique way to do things!

6. Chair Garlands

This is a must have for any Bohemian bride. If you want to make it extra special, have the flowers from your wedding or flower crown be placed on the chair as well. The garland will only add more elegance to your already unique wedding.

7. “You’ll Be My Glass of Wine, I’ll Be Your Shot of Whiskey.”

Get your cowboy boots on and get ready to party! While these signs can be used in more than just a barn or outdoor country wedding, they are definitely the perfect chair decor for those country lovin’ couples! It almost sounds like a country song. Oh wait….

8. Better Together

“It’s always better when we’re together.” Want to show your guests how much your other half means to you? Have signs that need to go together in order to make sense, like the ones above! You could have “Better Together”, “Together Always”, or “I Love You” and “I Know” in response. These “his and her” signs are a great idea to give your chair decor a little more meaning!

9. Mr. and Mrs.

Simplicity is where it is at. If you want the traditional and classy “Mr.” and “Mrs.” sign, these cute pieces are exactly what you are looking for! Show your guests your new title in few words, as well as having a cute photo op!

I saved the most simple and best for last, of course! Sometimes all you need to say is groom and bride, and decorated with garland, some flowers, or add your own flare with some sparkle, this simplistic approach may be the pizzazz you are craving to add to this simple sentiment!
