"A few years ago we turned our garage into a game room/hang out area for our kids. We added insulation and covered the garage door, but it still gets too hot to use in the summer. This unit does a good job of keeping the room comfortable. It won't get cold, but keeps it cool enough the kids can hang out and use the room. It is a typical 2 car garage, and we live in an area where summer temps are usually in the high 90's.  We have been using this for two hot summer months. If it is under 95 outside, it does a good job at keeping our garage cool/comfortable. If it is 100 or above, it isn't able to cool the entire room, but if it is pointing at you while you are sitting on a couch watching a movie, you stay comfortable. Keep in mind this is in our garage. While we did add insulation in the attic and cover the garage door, it isn't insulated like the rest of the house, so I would imagine others would get better results than we are, but considering our situation we are very happy."

"Fantastic price! This model far exceeds my expectations. It cools my entire 433 sq. ft. studio apartment. Rather than use screws, the management taped in the window vent to not damage windows. Brilliant! With the wheels, it is easy to reposition the direction of the air flow in any direction if needed. I do have to turn the TV up a little bit when it is on but it is not noisy. It has a constant blowing sound that doesn't bother me at all. "I overlooked that this unit does not have automated thermostat control...instead it has a timer that you can set, and after the timer ends, it shuts the unit off, but if you don't set the timer, this unit will run until it's turned off. Also, do not like the amount of water this thing expels, you really have to watch the tray, that you have to put behind this unit in order to catch the water, if you don't stay on top of it, you will have quite the mess. Overall, for the price, this unit, blows nice and cold, these are great for spot cooling, just like advertised. The exhaust hose is 6" in diameter."
