Some customers bought the Multi-Use Crock Pot over other brands just because of the reputation that Crock-Pot has.  This company has been around for decades.  Crock-Pot is the original inventor of the slow cooker.

For all the functions that you are getting in one appliance purchase, this Multi-Use Crock Pot is a great buy.

Multi-Use Functions

crock pots

As mentioned above, this multi-use pot has 8 settings that include meat/stew, beans/chili, rice/risotto, yogurt, poultry, dessert, soup, and multigrain.  Customers commented that they liked how this reduced the amount of appliances that they needed to keep in their kitchen.  One customer had this to say, "This has been great...I love a multi-use tool. With this bad boy my annoying old troublesome pressure cooker has been banished to the garage."

Another buyer wrote this, "The Crock-Pot 6 Qt 8-in-1 Multi-Use Express Crock Programmable Slow Cooker, Pressure Cooker, Sauté, and Steamer is easy to use and works just as advertised. We had pressure-cooked carnitas in an hour that tasted every bit as good as a traditional slow cooker. There is nothing intimidating in the operation of the device, unlike some of the traditional stove-top pressure cookers."

One customer summed up a lot about the functions.   Her comment also reflected what many others were saying about the functions.  She had this to say, "I was always afraid of those archaic stove top pressure cookers - This is not one of those. This multi-cooker has lived up to all the hype! I absolutely love it. I can make a pot roast in about an hour and it is melt in your mouth tender. While the Express Cooker looks a little intimidating, it is actually really easy to use. It combines the functions of a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, cake maker, yogurt maker, saute/searing, steamer, warmer and sterilizer all in one unit. It has complete custom programming for pressure and non-pressure cooking. I would recommend reading through the instructions just for safety."

One customer who was leary of buying this Multi-use Crock Pot but has since been using it a lot.  She commented, "I’ve had it for 10 days and have already used it multiple times. I am seriously amazed by how easy it is to use and how delicious the food turns out. I made meatloaf tonight and it was, without a doubt, the best meatloaf I have made. Plus I cooked the potatoes in the bottom of the pot, with the meatloaf in foil on top, so everything was done at once and only one pot to clean (easily might I add, due to the nonstick pot!). We have made potato soup, kalua pork and cabbage, beef stroganoff, a cheesecake (!!!), rice, meatloaf, and applesauce. All of which have been delicious. I haven’t tried it as a slow cooker yet."

Ease of Cleaning

Some people cringe when they hear the words "pressure cooker."  It can bring back memories of cooking experiences gone wrong.  With the Crock-Pot Brand you can be assured that they had safety in mind when creating this nifty appliance.  The airtight locking lid remains locked while the pressure is inside the unit.

This Multi-Use Crock-Pot will hold up to 6 quarts of food.  The whole size of this appliance will take up a lot of room on your counter-top so it's best to be aware of this fact ahead of time.  The dimensions are 11.9 x 13.6 x 13.6 inches and it weighs 17.1 pounds.

My Conclusion

If you are wanting more uses out of your Crock-Pot than this Multi-functional Crock-Pot might be your answer.  A lot of people purchased this Crock-Pot because of the pressure cooker function.  Whether you already have an old-time pressure cooker or are new at pressure cooking, this might just be the pot for you.  It's easy to use, not overly pricey, and safe.  One customer had this to say, "All in all I’ve had good results with the slow cooker and the pressure cooker here.  They are so much easier to use and, as someone whose not always so organized, I find it easier to pressure cook than to plan ahead for slow cooker. I prefer the results too."

If you are wanting to try pressure cooking, I hope these reviews encouraged you to give it a try.  Because you can always go back to slow cooker if you don't like the pressure cooker option, I don't see how you can go wrong here.
