Do you have twins, a baby, or three small children? Then you may want to think about investing in a triple stroller. Today we are reviewing a triple stroller, the Joovy Big Caboose Graphite Stand On Triple Stroller.
The Joovy Big Caboose Graphite Stand On Triple Stroller has two front seats that can hold children that are 6 months and up, and up to 40 pounds. You can also put infants in this stroller by using the included car seat adapter. There is a rear bench and standing platform for a child that is 2 1/2 years old or older, and up to 45 pounds. This product works well for families that have twins and a toddler, triplets, or three young children. The stroller will hold up to 125 pounds. It is made with 300D polyester. The front seats have a two-position recline. This also has adjustable footrests, two child trays, and two car seat adapters. The stroller weighs 32.3 pounds. It has a parking brake, and a large storage basket.
No Cup Holders
For parents who like to carry beverages or carry sippy cups for their kids, be aware that this stroller does not have cup holders.
The Joovy Big Caboose Graphite Stand On Triple Stroller is easy to transport since it folds up easily. A customer had this to say about how easy it collapses for transport,
"Folds up easily and surprisingly pretty flat. Folds better than our single and double stroller."
Tandem Set Up Fits Through Doorways
The way this stroller is set up with the seats in tandem, this stroller will fit through a standard sized door. This makes it nice for when you are out and about shopping or going places and need to get through doorways. It is narrow enough that you won't have to take your children out to pass through narrow places.
Hard To Turn
There was a lot of customer feedback for this stroller that stated that this is a hard to turn stroller. Here is one of the negative comments on turnability,
"However it is heavy and very difficult to steer. The bike wagons that convert to a stroller are a bit lighter and super easy to maneuver. I wish this turned more easily. I am average sized and still had to put all my weight into it to turn it."
Compared to other strollers of this type, the Joovy Big Caboose Graphite Stand On Triple Stroller is priced well. For what you are getting, this isn't priced too high nor is it a budget stroller.
Good Weight Load Limit
The maximum weight for this stroller is 125 pounds. Some of the other strollers had a weight load limit of just 40 pounds per kid.
The way that the seats are set up, with the back seat being elevated, means that both children can see out. Parents liked that the back child also has unobstructed vision. Here is one comment on the seating feature,
"I love how upright the vertical position, together with the stadium seating, they have great views!! They don't recline more than about 45 degrees, but it's sufficient for naps."
This stroller has two separate canopies which means that both children get full sun coverage. Parents liked that the canopies were both of good size and moved back and forth depending on sun angle. Here is a comment about the canopies,
"The canopies are a good size and you can move them forward and backward depending on the angle of the sun (and they easily pop right out if not needed)."
Other Products to Try
If the Joovy Big Caboose Graphite Stand On Triple Stroller does not fit your needs, there are many other products to try. Today I'll go over two strollers that you may be interested in: the Angeles Infant Toddler SureStop Folding Commercial Bye-Bye Stroller and the Baby Trend Sit N Stand Ultra Tandem Stroller.
- The Angeles Infant Toddler SureStop Folding Commercial Bye-Bye Stroller is $426.19. It has a comfort-grip brake system, which will prevent the stroller from rolling away. It has all-terrain wheels that will work on any surface. This product measures 37"L x 33"W x 36"H, and weighs 77 pounds. It is made with a lightweight and sturdy tubular steel frame. The reclining seats are padded to ensure comfort for your child. The fabric is water-repellent and fade-resistant, and it is very easy to clean. It has removable canopies. This stroller easily folds in three steps. This is recommended for children that are 6 months or older. There is also a three year warranty.
- The Baby Trend Sit N Stand Ultra Tandem Stroller is $143.79, which is very affordable. Keep in mind, however, this stroller will only hold two children. It can hold either two children sitting, two children in infant car seats, or one child sitting and the other child standing. The older child can stand on the rear platform, or sit on the rear seat. Each child must be under 50 pounds. This product is very compact, which makes it easy to transport and store. It is made with nylon and metal, and has been imported. This stroller will accept one or two infant seats, which are sold separately. It will work with all Baby Trend® Infant Car Seats, as well as many other brands. This stroller has a large basket that can be used for storage. A nice feature is that the parent has two cup holders, and the standing child has one cup holder. If you are wanting an inexpensive double stroller that allows a toddler to stand in the back, this product is a good choice.
The Joovy Big Caboose Graphite Stand On Triple Stroller is a tandem set up two child stroller that can hold up to 125 pounds of passengers. It is reasonably priced for what you get. However, when at full load capacity, this stroller will be hard to turn. Because it is a tandem, it will fit through standard sized doorways. If you are looking for an economical two seater stroller, I recommend checking this one out.
