Let’s See How This Pan Holds Up With Bakers
As of this writing, there were 146 customer comments on Amazon and 21 answered questions. In order to make it faster and easier for the shopper, I’ve condensed the results into this article.
The Rolls Royce of Springform Pans
The Kaiser Bakeware LaForme Plus 9-Inch Springform Pan has been called the Rolls Royce of springform pans for its construction and material. People who purchased this pan, described it as being more durable than an average home-baking springform pan. It should hold up to some abuse and wear and tear well due to its solid construction.
Heavy Pan
Many customers commented that they could tell this was a quality pan just by the weight alone. Here is just one of the several comments on the weight,
“VERY substantial springform pan; the materials are heavy weight and the locking mechanism is very sturdy. Worth the money!”
The Kaiser Bakeware LaForme Plus 9-Inch Springform Pan weighs a hefty 1.81 pounds.
Price
The price is high on this pan, but a lot of customers felt it was totally worth it. This is a top quality pan. If you plan on using a springform pan often, I’d definitely consider paying more and buy this pan. It will last longer because it was made to be durable. In the long run, you may even save money by not buying replacement pans when others break.
Leakage
You would think the Rolls Royce of springform pans wouldn’t leak, but sadly I must report that this pan does indeed leak. A simple fact of springform pans are that they can leak. This doesn’t mean that it will leak out all of your ingredients, but if you have thin batter, there is a chance that some will leak out. People deal with this problem by putting a tray under what they are cooking or lining the outside of the pan with aluminum foil. If you are using a water bath for a cheesecake or other baked goods, it’s definitely a good idea to use aluminum foil or water will leak in. I have yet to find a springform pan that does not leak. With this being said, this pan does not leak anymore than the others. With thick batter you may not notice any leaking at all.
Measurement is Taken from Outside of Pan
A confusion on the measurements of this pan are due to how the pan is measured. The diameter of this pan is measured from the outside as opposed to the inside of the pan. So if you order a 10 inch pan, your baked good will be about an inch less due to it not being measured from the inside.
Pan Care
You will need to wash the The Kaiser Bakeware LaForme Plus 9-Inch Springform Pan by hand. Simply wash it like you would any dish except make sure to avoid harsh scrubbing. It’s important that the protective stick-free coating does not get scratched off. This pan is not dishwasher safe. When you are finished hand-washing it, rinse and then dry it with a towel, and let it air dry before putting it away so that it doesn’t rust. Springform metal pans tend to rust around the buckle and rims. Drying will help to eliminate that issue.

My Conclusion
The Kaiser Bakeware LaForme Plus 9-Inch Springform Pan is a quality pan. It has been called the Rolls Royce of springform pans for one main reason. And that reason is that this pan is durable and should last for many bakings. It is priced much higher than most springform pans, but it outperforms many other pans too. It will leak just like many springform pans do if you have thin batter or if you use a water bath. This problem can be corrected by lining the outside of the pan with aluminum foil. This pan is not dishwasher safe and needs to be hand-washed, just like most springform pans. If you don’t mind spending the extra money, I’d say definitely get this pan.
