Helps Back Sleepers Sleep On Their Side
If you are a back sleeper or stomach sleeper, this maternity pillow may be what you are looking for. According to customers, it has helped them become a side sleeper, and it made side sleeping so much more comfortable. Here is one of the comments,
"I'm a back sleeper and was having lots and lots of trouble staying on my side...I was getting so frustrated and often moved to the couch or our recliner chair in the middle of the night..it was frustrating!! I bought the Snoogle but didn't like that I didn't have easy freedom to turn from side to side throughout the night and just overall didn't feel comfortable in it. I needed more support on not just one side but two. So-I returned it, and got this. Game. changer. Yes it's huge, but it's amazing. It makes sleeping on my side so much easier, and natural. The pillow conforms right to your body, providing perfect support on both sides for back and belly...During times I still crave laying on my back this pillow is perfect because I prop it up against the wall slightly, add a pillow or two and I'm good to go! It's definitely an investment but I think it's so worth it!!"
The Seam Is Uncomfortable
A common complaint was that the seam on this pregnancy pillow will cut off circulation on you, and make it uncomfortable to sleep in. Although some customers said the seam was not too bad, other customers could not use this pregnancy pillow due to the seam. Here is what one customer had to say,
"The seam of the upper most portion is sewn straight across from one side to the other. The way I read the reviews, it was just a flaw in the cover, so I planned to just remove the cover. Unfortunately, it's the seam of the pillow itself...In order to get my head onto the bigger part of the pillow, the seam cuts into the muscle between my neck and shoulder."
Expensive Price, But Worth It
The price for this pregnancy pillow is much higher than other pregnancy pillows. However, customers said that the cost was totally worth it. This is what one customer had to say,
"I really had trouble hitting submit payment when I ordered this. Who spends that much on a pillow? But even in the few weeks I've had it, the quality of sleep I get has been well worth the money. Less pain and less waking is amazing."
Takes Up a Lot Of Room
If you are looking for a small pregnancy pillow, this product is not it. According to customers, it takes up a lot of room in the bed and when storing. Here is what one customer had to say,
"The pillow is indeed big. My husband and I share a full-size bed, and lets just say he's a little crowded. The situation is not ideal, but he's adapted and I make it work too. A queen would definitely be better, but I think a queen is only 6 in wider than a full? So that still wouldn't add a ton of space. But wanted to include the info for the sake of noting that even if you have a full size bed it's possible to make it work. and for 12-14 weeks of sleep at the end of pregnancy, its well worth the trade-off. You can't be a sprawling sleeper though! I also recommend saving the box it comes in, because once pregnancy is over, storing this giant thing might take some creativity. I tried to fit it in a plastic tote bin and the one I had wasn't big enough."
Hard To Get Cover Back On
While the cover is easy to remove to wash it, it is very difficult to get back on. Here is what one customer wrote,
"I LOVE the pillow itself...it gives me a good night's sleep and feels like I am resting on a cloud. I haven't had any pregnancy related back issues or discomfort since using this pillow. The pillowcase, on the other hand, is completely ridiculous. It's easy to remove, but every week I dread washing it because it is SO difficult to put back on. It takes me at least fifteen minutes to do so, and now that I am in my third trimester and the hot summer weather is here, I end up sweating buckets by the end of this struggle. I think I'm just going to start wrapping it in a sheet and see how that works. Whoever designed the pillowcase did not have pregnant women in mind. I feel like if you are past your due date, attempting to stuff this giant pillow into its case would be a great method to jumpstart labor."
