While reviewing double strollers, one common complaint that I've heard over and over again is how bulky the strollers are. Unfortunately, most double strollers are going to be bigger and bulkier. There really is no way to get around that problem, until now. 

Introducing the Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller! Your answer to a lighter version of the double strollers out there, and with good maneuverability.  With this being said, this is by no means  a jogging stroller, or a stroller that you'd want to go over bumpy dirt road terrain, or trails with.  But for just getting around stores, city crossings, and sidewalks,  this may be your solution.

Something very cool and special about the Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller is that it is a side by side stroller AND you can fit through standard sized doors with it. This stroller brings back the convenience of the old school type of double strollers with modern upgrades.  Many of the modern side by side strollers can't fit through a standard sized door.  It can be a pain, to wake up sleeping children and get them out just to get through a door and then place them back down hoping they will fall back to sleep. With the Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller, you will be able to just stroll on past  those doorways and tight spots.

Weight

The Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller is a lightweight stroller. Considering that you will be pushing two children, every less pound you have to push means a lot. This is one of the lightest double strollers on the market today.  Weighing in at just 21.2 pounds means that you will be pushing children and not equipment. The Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller is able to hold 110 pounds of children in its seats. 

Canopies

The two canopies act independently from each other. This is a great feature if you have one child that wants to sleep with the canopy down while one may be awake and want to get a better view.

Seats

Both seats recline fully back on the Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller. They also act independently from each other much like the canopies.  If you have one child wanting to lay back and sleep, you can recline that seat back, while the other child who is awake can sit seated up.

The seats are padded for comfort and a smooth ride. If there's one thing that a mom of twins doesn't need, that is two weary and uncomfortable child travelers.

Another nice feature of the Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller, is that the fabric is washable.  Children can be messy in more ways that one. It's nice to know that the material on this double stroller cleans up easily.

Folding and Transport

This stroller folds up with one hand. This is a great feature considering that you will have at least two kids that you are looking after, possibly more if you have walkers and biker riders with you.

When it does fold up, it is very compact. One drawback of most of the other double strollers on the market today is how bulky they can be folded up. Some people really struggle to fit most double strollers in the back of smaller vehicles.  The Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller is not one of those bulky strollers. This stroller is like the ones that companies have been making for the last 50 years, except with upgrades in the quality of the material used.

A unique quality of the Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller is that it has a handle for carrying the stroller when it is folded up.  Most doubles do not have this, and frankly most doubles would be too heavy to carry by the handle. This feature sets the Maclaren apart.

Wheels

There are a total of 12 small wheels on the Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller. The front wheels lock and also swivel.

Handles

The Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller has some unique handles.  Instead of a handlebar, it has ergonomically shaped and positioned handles.  One handle is on each side.  Some people really liked these type of handles.  Keep in mind again that this stroller is for walking. Some of the doubles made for jogging need to have a handle bar instead of individual handles.  

Price

In comparing double strollers to the Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller, it is very inexpensive.  But keep in mind that this stroller is also very simple.  It's not a performance stroller for running, or going to give you a ton of extra features like some of the higher priced tagged strollers.  But what you do get is a stroller that will get you and your kiddos around in a simple and efficient fashion when walking to the zoo, park, mall or crowded areas.

Rain Cover

A rain and wind cover is included with your purchase of the Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller.  This is really a nice bonus because with the other double strollers I reviewed, you had the option of buying a rain cover separately.  For this stroller it's included in the price.  

In my opinion a rain cover is one of those must have items. Though you may not use it much, when you do need it, you will be so glad that you had it available for your precious cargo.

Storage

The Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller is lacking in storage as compared to other double strollers.  But some have come to appreciate this stroller for what it is.  If you add in more storage areas, you start adding to the bulk.  This stroller is known for not being bulky.  And hence, less storage is available.

There is some storage in the basket under the seats.  If you are taking just a little day trip to the zoo or park, there would be plenty of room for diapers, extra sets of clothes, packed lunches, and small toys.

The Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller uses an old school style that works. Some of the larger double strollers are just that – large. As in very, very large. Some people have commented that they felt like they were pushing a bus with the larger double strollers.  With the Maclaren Twin Triumph Double Stroller, you will only be pushing 21.2 pounds of stroller.  The rest will be the poundage of your kids. Overall, the people who purchased this double stroller were overwhelmingly satisfied.
