A Pre-Wedding Playlist to Help Pamper You & Prepare You On the Wedding Morning

The morning of the wedding is always a fun and crucial time. It is fun in the aspect that it is time to spend with your favorite women, ladies, and family. But it is crucial because you need to get things done on a time crunch, but yet done effortlessly and completed perfectly to a T.

While we have provided suggestions and tips for choosing wedding music when it comes to reception entrance music  and processional songs , there are some other times during the big day that could always use a little music to jazz things up a bit (pun intended). And one of those times is during the morning when the bride and her bridesmaids are preparing and pampering.

So enjoy browsing through this playlist that we have compiled for you, and happy pampering!

1. Happy by Pharrell Williams

Pharrell can put anyone in a good mood with this song, whether they are getting married or not! Pharrell sings, “Because I’m happy, clap along if you feel like a room without a roof. Because I’m happy, clap along if you feel like happiness is a truth.” So if you need a pick-me-up, this song will most definitely do just that!

2. What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction

Who doesn’t remember this hit? The beautiful boys of One Direction sing their hearts out to millions of young girls and even more millions of fans. If you need a song to sing into your hairbrush microphone for, then this song is just the song for that! “The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed, but when you smile at the ground it ain’t hard to tell, you don’t know you’re beautiful.”

3. Chapel of Love by The Dixie Cups

Need a good song to get you in the mood for walking down that aisle and calm the nerves maybe just a little bit? Well, rock out to this golden oldie for sure! “Spring is here, the sky is blue. Birds all sing as if they knew. Today’s the day we’ll sing “I do”, and we’ll never be lonely anymore.”

4. Marry You by Bruno Mars

“It’s a beautiful night, we’re looking for something dumb to do. Hey baby, I think I want to marry you. Is it the look in your eyes? Or is it this dancing juice? Who cares baby, I think I want to marry you.” While I hope your marriage is more meaningful than these lyrics (if your marriage is based off of “dancing juice”, please reevaluate your life please), this fun and poppy song enough to make you dance in that wedding dress.

5. Stuck Like Glue by SugarLand

Definitely a pop and country mix that you do not want to miss out on! “There you go making my heart beat again. There you go making me feel like a kid, won’t you do it and do it one time? There you go pulling me right back in, and I know I’m never letting this go. I’m stuck on you, stuck like glue.”

6. Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader

For any “Walk to Remember” fans, this song should totally sound familiar! Combined with his unique voice and beautiful lyrics, Toploader hits the bull’s eye with this song! “We get it almost every night, when the moon is big and bright. It’s a supernatural delight, everybody’s dancing in the moonlight.”

7. Trumpets by Jason Derulo

Jason Derulo is definitely a sweet talker, that is for sure. Although his lyrics tend to be more on the sensual side (so if you have conservative mothers, this is your warning), but his beats and smooth voice, combined with the lyrics, make him a spectacular artist. “Every time that you get undressed, I hear symphonies in my head. I wrote this song just looking at you, yeah the drums they swing low, and they Trumpets they go…”

8. Shut Up and Dance by WALK THE MOON

While this definitely should be a song on your dancing playlist for the reception, it is still a fun one to blare in the morning when you and your besties are preparing for the special day ahead of you. “Oh don’t you dare look back, just keep your eyes on me. I said you’re holding back, She said shut up and dance with me!”.

9. Ain’t No Mountain High Enough (Cover) by Us the Duo

This classic, combined with the beautiful vocals of Michael and Carissa Alvarado and it’s fun beat, is one to belt out to the person in the mirror. “Ain’t no mountain high, ain’t no valley low, ain’t no river wide enough baby. If you need me call me, no matter where you are, no matter how far, don’t worry baby.”

10. Summer by Calvin Harris

Calvin Harris is a solid DJ with a track record of recording with many famous musicians. But for this summer single, Calvin decides to mix it up and record a solo song, making it all his own! “When I met you in the summer, to my heartbeat sound. We fell in love, as the leaves turned brown.”

11. Party in the U.S.A. by Miley Cyrus

We always need a timeless Hannah Montana, er, I mean Miley Cyrus, song to jam out to, whether it be in the car or in the shower! “So I put my hands up, they’re playing my song. The butterflies fly away. I’m nodding my head like yeah, and moving my hips like yeah. It’s a party in the U.S.A.!

12. Fallin’ For You by Colbie Caillat

Who could forget about Colbie Caillat? I could never forget about her amazing music! While your hair stylist is working on your hair, think back to when you and your future hubby first met. And get excited. Because you are getting married! “I’ve been spending all my time, just thinking about you. I don’t know what to do, I think I’m falling for you.”

13. Bang Bang by Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj

Why not finish your playlist with a bang (pun most definitely intended)? This unstoppable trio belts out with their soul and playful lyrics, singing “Bang bang into the room, bang bang all over you. Wait a minute let me take you there, wait a minute.” And while the lyrics are not meaningful, it most certainly gives meaning to jumping around and getting pumped for the wedding!
