Are you looking to start online dating? Then you may want to think about joining an online dating app. Today we are reviewing one of the most popular dating apps on the market, Tinder.
This dating app is available on iOS, Android, and Amazon. It connects with Facebook and Instagram, so that posting pictures and setting your profile is simple. For you to be able to use Tinder, you will need a Facebook account. This site will use Facebook to see if you have any mutual friends. You can upload up to six pictures from your Facebook photo album.
This dating app is based on swiping. A right swipe means you’re interested, and a left swipe means you’re not interested. You can also pay for Tinder Plus or Tinder Gold, so that you can get access to super swipes, which can be used to let potential matches know you’re very interested. Tinder is known as the one of the easiest dating apps to use.
Doesn't Take Into Account Your Facebook Relationship Status
People can and will cheat if they are inclined to. Unfortunately, Tinder makes it even easier because the app doesn't take into account Facebook relationship statuses. If you are in a relationship, even if you are married, you can use Tinder without members being informed of your Facebook relationship status. Of course, a Tinder user could check out the potential date's relationship status, but it would be nice if Tinder would scan relationship statuses first.
This App Has a Negative View
After reading reviews and also talking to friends who use dating apps, I've learned Tinder has a following for being the top hook-up and one night stands kind of dating apps. Of course, not everyone will use it that way, but tread with caution in case a person you are interested in on Tinder views this as simply a quick hook-up.
Known as "Bar" App
Tinder has a following of being used while at a bar. In fact, from what I've learned, many people are logged in while they are at the bar. That way you can see who else is logged in when you are, and then make a quick hook-up. Be cautious when using this app if you are looking for a meaningful, long term relationship.
Other Dating Apps To Try
If Tinder does not fit your needs, there are many other dating apps to try. Today I'll go over two dating apps that you may be interested in: Match.com and Coffee Meets Bagel.
- Match.com is considered one of the best dating apps, next to Tinder. This dating app hosts many group events so that users can meet each other in person. It asks you questions about your lifestyle and physical appearance, as well as your religion, your salary, and whether you have any children. Similar to Tinder, on this site you can tell other users if you are interested in them by swiping right or left. This dating app is free, but if you want to get an upgraded membership, you will need to pay. If you are wanting an easy site to use, Match.com is a good choice.
- Coffee Meets Bagel is a free dating app. It takes around 10 minutes to set up an account, which is the average set up time. To be able to use this app, you will need a Facebook account and a cell phone number. Everyday male users are given up to 21 potential matches to like or pass on. Women can see which men have liked them and then decide if they want to like them back and start a conversation. The maximum number of users you can like within 24 hours is five users. Although this isn't a lot, it forces you to take your time to consider each person, rather than to rush through them. Overall, Coffee Meets Bagel has received good reviews, and is a good dating app to try.
Tinder is a free app that uses Facebook to help you find people that you may be interested in. This app uses a swiping process where users either swipe right if interested or left if not interested. Unfortunately, this app is known as a one night stand kind of app. Of course, you don't need to use it that way, but many of the users explain that it's a good app to use at a bar for a quick hook-up. So tread carefully using this app. I hope that this review can help you decide if you should give Tinder a try!
