Save Some Time and Plan Your Wedding Before You Get The Bling

So, you’re anxious? You’re excited? Yeah… I would be too if I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with the man of my dreams… Falling in true-can’t-eat-can’t-sleep-love is one of the most amazing things to have happen in anyone’s lifetime and surely it is understandable when you want to get a jump start on the planning of the rest of your life.

Decide On An Acceptable Budget

With any event you will want to consider a budget. Just because you may not be planning your wedding in the traditional sense, doesn’t mean that you can’t be politically correct in your planning. Having a budget will give you a good idea on what you can and can’t spend. You can also budget what you use for each vendor too. This can 86 a lot from your list just by creating a vendor specific budget.

Secret Pinterest Boards Will Be Your BFF

If you’re a fan of Pinterest, you would know that there is an option to have private boards. These private boards allow you to pin all that you want without having peeping eyes assuming or questioning if you are engaged. Remember that this is a time for you and you only and if you don’t want peeping eyes, this is the way to go!

Another feature with this is you can add member to your secret board! If you want to  add your bridesmaids or best friends on this board to “co-pin” or see your ideas, you totally can! How cool is this!

Think About What You Want Your Colors To Be

Think up a strategy of what you want your color scheme to be. Planning your color scheme can give you the time that you need to figure out what you want for your big day. Are you thinking of having three colors? Just one? Watch the trends if you are thinking that you want to follow them, like this year, the “it” colors seem to be marsala and gold. Or be a total trend setter and come up with your own color scheme, theme, and ideas!

Plan What You Want Your People To Wear

Your people being the people that will stand up next to you when you speak your vows in front of all your loved ones. Coming up with the idea of what you want your people to wear ahead of time goes right along with your budget; You can give them an idea of what they may be spending on their outfits for your big day!

Chat With Your Girls

Get support from your girls. Most every girl loves a good wedding and if she can help her best friend with it, why not? Not only will they  be excited to help you, but they may be able to help with things that you didn’t even think of! Maybe they’ve planned their own wedding or maybe they have some ideas that you didn’t even consider! Enjoy and be thankful for their diversity!

Consult With Your Man

Whether he thinks you’re crazy or not, include him in on the decisions. He is, after all, a big part of the day. He will have to endure every plan that you make, every move that you make, and every… Just kidding. But you get my point. Be considerate and let him know what is going on. After all, your budget may be contingent on him as well! This day is about you both!

Take the stress out of wedding planning by planning ahead. According to the Knot, about 60% of brides start planning their big day before they are even engaged. My thought is, if you know, you know. Don’t make yourself stress out just because you should wait to plan your big day. This is your big day, you plan it when you want to plan it! Planning your wedding doesn’t have to be a hassle or a last minute thing, especially if you plan to have a short engagement. Happy planning!
