Wilton Excelle Elite 6 x 2-3/4 Inch Springform Pan Product Review

The Wilton Excelle Elite 6 x 2-3/4 Inch Springform Pan is a heavy-duty steel construction pan made strong to prevent warping. Reinforced coating around the durable steel makes it non-stick and durable.  It is easy to clean and won't stick to your food items.  This springform pan comes with a 10 year warranty. The dimensions are 6 x 2-3/4 inch with a weight of 10.4 ounces.

Leakage

This pan can have minor leaks depending on what you are baking.  If you have a thin batter or are going to be putting it in a water bath, it's best to put aluminum foil around the pan first.  Water can leak in on your cheesecakes and other desserts if placed in a water bath.  This is an issue that all springform pans have to contend with.

Ease of Cleaning

Make sure to hand wash it and not put it in the dishwasher.  Also use normal precautions as you would with any non-stick finished pan.

Rough Edges

Be careful when handling this springform pan, as it does have some rough edges. 

Make Sure To Dry After Each Use To Prevent Rust

This pan, along with other springform pans I've reviewed, will rust if they are not dried well after each use.  Make sure to take a clean and dry towel and blot dry all areas were water could be trapped.  The inner and outer sections should be dried separately.  It's a good idea to let it air dry after towel drying to make sure that all the water is off of the pan.

Works Well With Air Fryers and Pressure Cookers

The Wilton Excelle Elite 6 x 2-3/4 Inch Springform Pan fits in most air fryers perfectly.  One person recommended to cover the top with aluminum foil to deflect the air blowing down.  It also works well with most pressure cookers.  One customer happily reported that she can bake cheesecakes in 17 minutes in her pressure cooker with the help of this springform pan.

Size

If you are wanting a small-sized pan, then you might really like the 6 x 2-3/4 inch dimensions.  The word "cute" size just kept coming up over and over again.  This is a also a great size if you want to make cake layers.  Another good thing about the small size is it works great if you have to make multiple cakes.  One lady had to help her niece make 9 cheesecakes for a school experiment.  They had to document their results.  She was thrilled with the small size, since she had to make so many.  The cheesecakes turned out great, by the way, without any leakage during cooking. 

The Wilton Excelle Elite 6 x 2-3/4 Inch Springform Pan is a small springform pan that works well for mini cheesecakes or layered cakes.  It works well in most air fryers, pressure cookers, and Instant Pots. This springform pan can leak a bit depending on what and how you are cooking with it.  If you will be putting it in a water bath, it's best to use aluminum foil to cover the pan so that water doesn't seap in.  Make sure to only hand wash this springform pan.  Towel dry and then allow it to air dry completely to prevent rust.
