Zoes Kitchen serves a variety of foods including chicken salad, pasta salads, grilled chicken sandwiches, and pitas. Zoes Kitchen’s food philosophy is “If it wasn’t food 100 years ago, it’s not food today”. I noticed that all of their menu options are very fresh and healthy with generous doses of vegetables.
Menu
Zoes Kitchen has their menu choices divided into the following categories: Starters, Soups and Salads, Sandwiches and Pitas, Kabobs, Bowl’s and Entrees, Family Meals, Live Med Kids, Sides and Snack Boxes, Desserts and Drinks. Within each category is a wide range of items to choose from. Zoes Kitchen has a much wider variety of choices than most fast casual restaurants out of the ones I’ve reviewed. There really is something for everyone.
Vegetarian and Vegan Options Available
Zoes Kitchen has a nice variety of vegetarian and also vegan options on their menu. Instead of having separate sections, they have symbols on the regular menu indicating which ones are vegetarian and which ones are vegan. Here are some of the vegan and vegetarian choices that I thought sounded good. There were many more vegetarian and vegan options to choose from.
- Spinach and Mushroom Piadina – Grilled Italian flatbread sandwich with fresh spinach, mushrooms, feta-parsley spread, parmesan cheese, and fresh mozzarella (Vegetarian).
- Mediterranean Baked Feta (a starter) – French feta topped with grape tomatoes, olives, extra-virgin olive oil, basil and Calabrian peppers; served with pita chips (Vegetarian).

What Other People Are Saying
Salmon and Steak Kabobs are popular
Here is what a frequent diner shared about a favorite dish,
“I love their steak and salmon kabobs. They have so much flavor and are so juicy. And the vegetables are grilled to perfection. They will allow you to substitute the sides which is great for someone looking to watch their carb intake. I always end up substituting their potatoes out for a Greek salad (comes with the steak entree). Their salad dressing is also a reason to head here. Even if it’s just to buy a bottle to go.”
Great Prices for What You Get
I found that the majority of reviews stated that they were happy to pay a bit more because the portions were big and the food was good. Here is one of many complimentary comments left about this restaurant,
“Zoes is a great choice if you are looking for relatively healthy and freshly prepared Mediterranean food. They have pitas, kabobs, salads, entrees, and bowls. I was also very impressed by the quantity and quality of sides. The food seemed light, but some of the dressings and sauces can get a little high in fat. Prices are also very reasonable considering the meats are good portions and very filling. The restaurant is bright and has plenty of seating that makes dining there a good option.”
Kids’ Menu
I was impressed with the healthy choices on the kids’ menu. Sometimes kids’ menus can be items that pacify kids more than nourish their growing bodies. On this menu, you won’t find any highly processed foods like hot dogs. The current online kids’ menu includes the following 4 choices.
- Ham and Cheese Piadina, 280 calories
- Pizza Piadina, 340 calories
- Shrimp Kabob, 90 calories
- Salmon Kabob, 170 calories
- Chicken Salad Sandwich, 440 calories
- Grilled Chicken Fingers, 230 Calories
What You’ll Pay
The price range for an adult to dine at Zoes Kitchen is $11 to $30. It is slightly on the high end of fast casual, but for what you get, I think it’s worth it. The food reviews are very positive. Most of the people who commented that the prices were high also commented that the food and service were both totally worth it.
Customer Service
The majority of reviews on the customer service at Zoes Kitchen were very favorable. Of course, there will always be a complaint here and there, because each location and each server is unique. But the reviews were highly favorable for Zoes Kitchen across the board at various locations.
There were many positive comments about customer service similar to this one,
“A very young girl at the counter was so sweet and had the best customer service. She wore a constant grin on her face. I later found out her name was Bree. We ordered to go, but we watched as Bree was so pleasant and accommodating to other customers. I have to say, with all the horrible customer service from people these days, this made my heart happy! Thanks Bree for exceeding our expectations!”
