When you head to the beach this summer it will be much more enjoyable if you have all that you need. I’ve made a list of items to have at the beach. Here are some of the essential items you need for your beach bag.
Sunscreen
Sunscreen is a must-have when it comes to beach bag items. After being in the sun, you may get sunburnt. Sunscreen can help. Make sure to apply some before going to the beach, as well as bring some along in your beach bag.
Sun Hat
Even if you are wearing sunscreen, a sun hat can prevent the sun from burning your face. There are many different colors and styles to choose from when it comes to sun hats. Just remember that the wider the brim is, the more protection you will get from the sun. Also, sun hats can add a touch of fashion to your apparel.

Add a dash of color to your lips with SPF lip balm. Unlike regular lip balm, SPF lip balm is similar to sunscreen, and it will protect your lips from the sun. This type of lip balm can also keep your lips hydrated.
Water Resistant Phone Pouch
Not only does your body need protected at the beach, but so does your phone. With the waves of the water splashing onto the shore, your phone is in danger of getting permanently ruined. However, you can protect your phone by keeping it in a water resistant phone pouch. A nice feature of the phone pouch is that it is touch sensitive, so that you don’t have to remove your phone from the pouch when you want to use it.
Books
Read some books that are on your summer reading list while you are at the beach. The beach is a relaxing place to read, and you won’t have to worry about getting distracted by house chores. If you do not want to bring a book, you could take some magazines along with you. Basically, any reading material that catches your interest should get packed in your beach bag.
Snacks
There’s nothing worse than arriving at the beach starving. And while you don’t want to fill your entire beach bag with food, you certainly don’t want to arrive at the beach knowing you didn’t pack anything to satisfy your hunger. That is where snacks can come in handy. Healthy, light snacks can be very nourishing, yet they don’t take up much room. Good snacks to include in your beach bag could be crackers, granola bars, sandwiches, and trail mix.
Water Bottle
Getting dehydrated on the hot beach is not a good idea. Make sure to pack a water bottle in your beach bag. You may want to get a water bottle that will keep your drink chilled, so that your drink doesn’t get burning hot from the sun.
Camera
The beach is a perfect place to snap gorgeous pictures. But with your phone stashed away in your beach bag, you will most likely want a camera to take those beautiful pictures of the waves and sand. Because you will need all the room you can get in your beach bag, a small camera is a good option.
Towel
A towel is always good to have in a beach bag, even if you don’t go for a swim. It can be used to brush sand off your feet, wipe your hands after eating, or, of course, to dry yourself off if you do get wet from the water. Make sure that the towel is large enough that you could wrap yourself in it if you got cold from the water.
