Kate Middleton

Also known for her role as the Duchess of Cambridge, Middleton wore this gorgeous stunner on April 29, 2011, when she married Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge. Middleton had requested that her dress be created to give it a modern, but traditional artistic glow. And boy! This dress did just that.

Combined with ivory and white satin material, this dress was designed by Sarah Burton, who is a creative director at the infamous fashion store Alexander McQueen. In the bodice, nineteenth century lace was incorporated to meet the “Something Old”, and a blue ribbon was sewn on the inside of the dress to meet the “Something Blue” part (confused? Check out our article about this famous old, lucky rhyme!).

This dress is an overall beauty, and many moms would be proud to have their daughter wearing a dress this gorgeous! If you love traditional lace, but a modern dress, this style is one to keep in mind!

Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera wore this interesting number when she married Jordan Bratman in 2005. This dress was designed with the intentions of simple and elegant on top, and all party in the bottom! And it most definitely lives up to those expectations with the long, ruffled train.

It’s Spanish style give this dress its flare, not to mention that top notch designer Christian Lacroix created this masterpiece himself. Combined with the wedding flowers and jewels in her hair, along with the veil, this ensemble cost over $30,000. If you are a feisty bride who wants to grab the attention of the guests, this look will most certainly do it!

Lauren Conrad

Although Lauren Conrad herself is a popular designer for women’s clothing, she did not actually create her own wedding dress. Although that does not mean she did not make the changes she wanted too! This dress was created by Badgley Mischka and was originally created with sleeves. But during her final fitting, she demanded that the sleeves be cut off! And are we glad she did, because this number is gorgeous!

For photos, Lauren Conrad posed with a ten foot train. The long train gives the dress the final elegant touch that it embodies! With its simplistic lace, sleeveless design, and wide open back covered with even more beautiful lace, this dress screams perfection. If you want a simple and modern dress, anything with lace is the way to go!

Whether it be her dresses from her former marriage with basketball superstar Kris Humphries or her dress from her recent wedding with rapper Kanye West, Kim Kardashian always knows how to go the extra mile when it comes to fashion. And she does not disappoint with her wedding gowns.

While her dress in the Kanye West wedding is designed with traditional lace, it still gives it the sexy twist that Kim would want with the form fitting bottom and open sides and back. Her other three dresses in the Humphries wedding are most definitely not traditional.

Her ceremony dress was very flowy and revealing on top. Her other two dresses during the dance and reception were very form fitting, revealing, and most definitely not shy. The one has a more ruffled bottom while the other has a satin, classy look to it, but is still designed with the Kardashian mind set.
